Help with profiles, relationship views, iCloud sync, reminders, photos, language, and data deletion.

Create and maintain a profile

1. Select the add button and choose New Person.
2. Add a name, optional nickname, impression, primary circle, and tags.
3. Add profile details, selected photos, or an initial interaction when useful.
4. Open the person again to review their briefing, timeline, relationships, reminders, and memory gaps.

Relationship graph and compass

• Use the graph for a broad relationship overview and the compass for a calmer circle-and-recency view.
• Select a person once to focus that person, related people, and visible connections.
• Select the same focused person again to open their profile.
• Use the reset control to clear focus and restore the default view.

If iCloud is not syncing

• Confirm that each device is signed in to the intended Apple Account and that iCloud is available.
• Open Mneme Settings and review the iCloud Sync status.
• Allow time for Apple services to synchronize after adding photos or many records.
• Keep Mneme open briefly on both devices and verify network connectivity.

Mneme does not provide its own account system. Sync availability is controlled by Apple services and device settings.

If reminders do not appear

• Open system notification settings and allow notifications for Mneme.
• Check that the reminder time is in the future and the reminder is not completed.
• The reminder remains visible inside Mneme even when system notification permission is denied.

Photos

Mneme uses the system photo picker. If an image cannot be imported, try another JPEG, PNG, or HEIC image. Selected photos are resized and re-encoded before storage. Canceling the picker does not change the profile.

Change the interface language

Open Settings → App Language and choose Follow System, Simplified Chinese, or English. The change applies immediately.

Delete data

• Delete one person from that person's profile to remove the associated profile content.
• Use Settings → Clear All Data to remove all Mneme records after confirming the irreversible action.
• When iCloud sync is active, deletions are expected to synchronize to your private CloudKit database and other devices.

Submit a support request

If the problem remains, open a GitHub support request and include:

• Your Mneme version and iOS, iPadOS, or macOS version.
• The device type and interface language.
• Steps that reproduce the issue, the expected result, and the actual result.
• A redacted screenshot or exact non-sensitive error message, if useful.
