Data processed on your device
The app processes weight entries, optional notes, weigh-in status and timestamps; height, target weight, units, language and appearance settings; weigh-in, hydration, and report reminder settings; water entries and report read status; on-device results such as trends, BMI, and your personal fluctuation baseline; and Apple purchase status used to unlock Pro.
For Home and Lock Screen widgets, the app writes a minimized on-device weight snapshot to its own App Group. This snapshot does not leave your device.
Apple Health
The app requests Apple Health permissions only after you connect the relevant feature. Active Calories reads Active Energy to show today and the last seven days on device. Apple Health Weight Sync reads and writes body-weight values and recording times to merge Weighloom-created entries between iPhone and iPad using the same Apple Account.
Weight sync does not import body-weight samples created by other apps. Notes, weigh-in status, height, target weight, hydration logs, and app settings are not written to Apple Health. Apple Health can use Apple's encrypted iCloud sync to transfer Health data between your devices. Weighloom does not enable CloudKit or send Apple Health data to a developer-operated server.
You may change or revoke permissions in system Health settings at any time. When you delete a synced entry in Weighloom, the app attempts to delete the matching body-weight sample written by Weighloom; you can also manage these samples directly in Apple Health.
Collection, sharing, and tracking
The current version has no developer account system, advertising, third-party analytics SDK, or developer-operated backend. The developer does not collect, sell, or share your weight, hydration, Apple Health data, or usage activity and does not track you across apps or websites. The app therefore does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.
The first-release build does not enable developer-configured CloudKit weight sync. Optional cross-device weight sync is handled by Apple Health after user authorization, and the developer cannot access that Health data.
Purchases and subscriptions
Monthly and yearly Pro subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple StoreKit. The app reads product information, verified transactions, and current entitlement status only. It does not receive card numbers, billing addresses, or other payment information. Apple’s privacy policy applies to Apple’s transaction processing.
Notifications
The app requests notification permission only after you enable weigh-in, hydration, or weekly/monthly report reminders. Reminders are scheduled locally on the device, do not pass through a developer server, and do not include specific weight or water values. You can disable them in the app or system Settings at any time.
Backups, retention, and deletion
When you export a backup, the app creates a JSON file containing weight entries and related settings and asks you where to save it. The app never uploads backups automatically. If you save one to iCloud Drive or another file provider, that provider’s privacy policy governs subsequent processing.
On-device data remains until you delete entries, use Delete All Weight Entries, or uninstall the app. You manage exported files and system device backups in their respective locations. The developer cannot remotely view, recover, or delete this data.
System features and diagnostics
The app uses Apple-provided SwiftData, local notifications, HealthKit, StoreKit, WidgetKit, App Groups, and file selection. Diagnostic information is copied to the clipboard only when you tap Copy Diagnostic Information. It contains the app version, system version, and device type, but no weight, hydration, or Apple Health data.
This policy website uses no cookies, analytics scripts, or third-party resources.
Health information and children
BMI, weight statistics, the personal fluctuation baseline, hydration progress, and food information are general wellness references. They are not medical diagnoses, treatment, or individualized dietary advice. The BMI reference is intended for adults aged 18 and older and is not appropriate for minors, pregnancy, or certain other groups.
The app does not actively collect children’s personal information through accounts, servers, advertising, or analytics SDKs. See Health & Safety Information for sources and limitations.
Contact and policy changes
If the app’s data practices change, this policy and its date will be updated before the relevant feature becomes available. For privacy questions, visit Support or email zhuxiaolei00@163.com.
