PRIVACY POLICY
VitaeLeaf CV Privacy Policy
We respect the personal and professional information in your CV. This policy explains how VitaeLeaf CV handles the CV text, photographs and files that you choose to provide.
01Privacy at a glance
- On-device first: CV editing, template layout, file parsing and PDF/PNG export take place on your device.
- No tracking: the current version contains no advertising, behavioural tracking or third-party analytics SDKs.
- No AI processing: the current version does not send CV content to an AI service or scrape content from the web.
- You remain in control: only photographs and files you explicitly select are read, and formal CV content is edited or confirmed by you.
02Information processed
To create and manage your CVs, the app processes information that you enter, paste, create or select, which may include:
- your name, target role, profile, telephone number, email address, location and website;
- employment, education, projects, skills, qualifications, portfolio items, awards and custom CV sections;
- profile or other photographs, PDF CVs and supported text documents that you select;
- template, paper, typography, colour, language, appearance and export preferences; and
- local metadata such as document names and creation or modification dates, used to sort and restore content.
This is content you create within the app. It does not mean that the developer collects these categories through a developer-operated server.
03How the information is used
The information is used only to provide features you request: creating and editing CVs, saving drafts, previewing templates, managing uploaded materials, parsing selected files, and generating or sharing PDFs and page-by-page PNG images.
04Local storage and iCloud
VitaeLeaf CV uses an on-device-first storage model. When iCloud synchronisation is unavailable or not enabled, data remains in the app's local storage on the device.
Where a version of the app offers private iCloud synchronisation, and your device and Apple Account permit it, CV records, photographs and uploaded files may be stored in your private iCloud database through Apple's CloudKit service so that they can synchronise across devices using the same Apple Account. This is an Apple system service; VitaeLeaf CV does not operate a separate user-account system or third-party synchronisation server.
iCloud processing is also governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and your iCloud settings.
05Photographs, files and exports
- The app reads only content that you explicitly select through a photo picker, file picker or drag-and-drop action. It does not scan your entire photo library or disk.
- Supported text documents and text-based PDFs are parsed on the device. The current version does not perform OCR on scanned PDFs.
- PDFs and PNGs are generated on the device. The app may create temporary files for exporting and sharing.
- When you use the system share sheet, email, cloud storage or another app to send a file, the receiving service processes it under that service's privacy terms.
07Tracking and permissions
The current version does not track you across apps or websites, use an advertising identifier, or request location, contacts, microphone or health data. Photographs and files are accessed only after you choose them.
08Retention and deletion
- CVs and uploaded materials remain until you delete them in the app or remove the corresponding app data.
- Deleting the app will ordinarily remove its local data from that device, but files you have exported elsewhere are not deleted automatically.
- If iCloud is enabled, synchronised data may remain in your iCloud account. You can delete the relevant content in the app and manage iCloud data through Apple's system settings.
- You must manage or delete copies shared with third parties in the relevant service or location.
09Security
The app relies on Apple platform features such as app isolation, local data protection and private iCloud capabilities to reduce the risk of unauthorised access. No storage method can guarantee absolute security, so please protect your device passcode, Apple Account and exported CV files.
10Children's privacy
VitaeLeaf CV is a general-purpose CV creation tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information. Because we do not operate user accounts or our own data server, the developer does not create child user profiles through the app.
11Changes to this policy
If a future version adds AI, third-party analytics, user accounts or another feature that changes data handling, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy information before that feature becomes available. The revised effective date will appear on this page.
12Contact
For questions about this policy, contact the developer, Zenchronix, through GitHub Issues. Do not post or upload your name, telephone number, email address, CV, photographs or other sensitive information in a public issue. If your question concerns personal information, provide only a general description and wait for arrangements for further contact.
